He says, “That tattoo from years ago.”ĭon is most likely referring to the tattoo Van did on the show years ago in which a client claimed they got an infection. In one scene of the preview, Van asks Ryan what happened to make Ryan stop speaking to him. ![]() Interestingly enough, Van will make his return on the upcoming episodes. However, Ryan felt it was time to pull the plug when he saw that the drama between employees was not being shut down by Van. So that pretty much put an end to the friendship. Prior to his decision, he decided to make Van the manager of the old shop. However, Ryan rubbed Van the wrong way after he decided to close down the original 9 Mag. Ultimately, Van and Ryan were able to get to a more cordial space. So the tension between them began to impact the rest of the group. Van felt like Ryan wasn’t being loyal to his day ones. So he ultimately has the last say when it comes to how things will run. And Ryan wanted Van to respect and understand that 9 Mag is the business that he created. He came back to the shop and took issue with how Ryan was running 9 Mag.
